General Counsel & Mediator
Joy is a private and court-appointed mediator through dispute resolution centers in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. She serves as the General Counsel of two international utility corporations, where she advises executive leadership on corporate governance, commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, employment matters, litigation management, and strategic risk management.
She is an active member of the Texas Association of Mediators and the Missouri ADR section.

In addition to her practice, Joy volunteers her time and expertise with the Dallas County Dispute Resolution Center (DCDRC).
Together with her husband, Jared, they founded Mpower Afrika, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering communities through mentorship, career guidance and self-sustaining economic initiatives. She also Co-Founded and is President Emeritus of Bagwere Batakangana, an organization focused on advancing economic empowerment and healthcare.
